When you know what you want to say but you don't know how to say it -- that's my sweet spot. Both in my personal blog and writing for businesses, my goal is to meet the reader right where he or she is: thinking "That's what I've been trying to say."

Even when, at the beginning of my career, I was writing headlines and 30-word blurbs for the Neiman Marcus and Horchow catalogs, I loved the challenge of finding the perfect words to say it just right. Today, I still feel great pride when my clients entrust me to produce content that will accurately represent their viewpoint and voice. As a compulsive writer — and a nonstop dreamer of new ideas to write about — nothing makes me feel more accomplished than when my words activate someone to take action toward making their life better.

My background is in marketing and theology. Over the past twenty years, I have worked in both the corporate and nonprofit arenas. Within the past decade, I have had the pleasure of managing my own freelancing gig that has served a large number and wide variety of clients: from ghostwriting on the Huffington Post to introductory email campaigns for small startups and everything in between.

I have four children who think they can boss me around and a husband who I strive to be more like. I'm passionate about the life-saving work of Jesus Christ, rearranging furniture in my home, and food glorious food.

But the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is the promise of coffee. And I'm just gonna shoot straight with you: I still use the toxic, ancient-formula'd, hydrogenated-eye-rolling-but-oh-so-delicious Coffeemate Hazelnut Creamer. The day I stop using it you'll know I've been brainwashed and am just trying to fit in with the cool girls at school.

And yes, I'm trying to get Coffeemate to sponsor me.

Hi!

I'm just a girl standing in my kitchen in my pleather jacket. Nothing to see here.
